It looks like Robert Sloan has pulled on a Bo’ness jersey for the last time and will turn out for local rivals Linlithgow Rose next season.
Rose manager Mark Bradley has snapped up the fan favourite on a two year contract, after 4 years at Newtown Park.
Robert arrived at Newtown Park in 2013, winning the league in his first season and quickly marked his spot in the team.
We spoke to Robert this afternoon about his time at the club.
“My best friend Steven Hislop got in touch and told me how good a club it was and that I should sign.”
Over the last 4 years there have been plenty ups and downs at Newtown Park with League wins, Cup wins, Scottish Cup runs in both the seniors and juniors – it’s certainly been a rollercoaster.
“I had a great time at Bo’ness and loved every minute of it. Winning the league in my first season with such a great team was one of my best memories.”
Robert went on to add “I would like to thank all the supporters for their support over the years, I love all them. I would like to wish Bo’ness all the best of the future.”
We would like to wish Robert all the best for the future and look forward to welcoming him back to Newtown Park next season with Linlithgow.
