As the rain poured down and all fans who made the trip out looked for cover the park looked in good condition. A cagey star as both teams tried to get into the game finished with the home side looking the better team.
The first chance fell to the home side with Marty Wright unlucky as he came close with a decent effort. The breakthrough came from a free kick David Gray swung a delightful ball into the box and Wright got on the end of it and finished well with a header. The home side continued to press forward but the linesman on the far side ruled offside on several occasions.
The visitors did look dangerous breaking forward quickly but other than a free kick that went high and wide Andy Murphy in the BU goal never had a save to make as the BU Defence we’re equal to anything coming their way.
It was almost 2-0 to the home side when Gray again done well and the shot this time was somehow stopped superbly by the Newtongrange keeper.
