Bo’ness have brought a young striker Tiwi Damarola in on loan from Stenhousemuir, He has come up through the Stenhousemuir school which get great reviews on how they work and recently was rewarded with a contract to the big team. So for some senior football under his belt starts for the BU’s today.
The damp day and the rain we had nearly all were checking the dubometer on the internet to see if any weather report had been added. The match being on was great as before at Sauchie the game would be off or the mud was up over the ankles a few year back.
Bo’ness were under some kind of spell from last week and never really done anything up front but as they started to get back into it, it was turning into a slugfest with each keeper picking off ever ball that didn’t really threaten the goal
HT: Sauchie 0 Bo’ness 0
Sauchie opened the second period on the front foot and almost took the lead when the ball was cleared of the line and kept the match 0-0.
As the match looked to be warming up, maybe the twenty two needed a heat due to the conditions from Mother Nature which then looked to spice the match up as Sauchie were starting to have more of the ball. On the hour mark a bad tackle saw the home player with a straight red which left him with no other option.
Not long afterwards the referee was in his pocket again and flashed a red on Brian Morgan who joined Bo’ness from Sauchie this season.
As the match settled down again the home side were controlling the game back never showed the killer punch to get three points and will feel hard done by but right at the end the BU almost stole the points as Marty Wright went close.
The whistle went for full time and each with the single point which could be important at the end of the season. But as for the match, it will be quickly forgotten about as one of the dullest games so far and it wasn’t the light I was speaking about.
