The top of the league as chasers struggle and matches postponed for Scottish ties.
BO’NESS started on the front foot to get the fans right behind them and after five minutes an early breakthrough came from the way of a shy which was directed on to the waiting Brian Morgan who calmly tucked it away against his former employers.

The visitors had a spell around the BU box but the home defence stood up to it. United again went on the attack and this time the menacing Ritchie and Chris Donnelly went close making the visitor’s keeper do well to keep it at 1-0.
With half an hour gone the Sauchie keeper had a rush of blood to the head and raced out to block a shot from Morgan. The ball was cleared only as far as Tom Grant but his attempt on the empty goal went wide.
Bo’ness then had another chance from Grant and Morgan corners which were dealt with comfortably. With it nearing half time United were awarded a free kick which Grant sent in but the keeper made it look easy for him.
Half time was almost on us as Sauchie just couldn’t get by the center-halves who stood up to the challenge as it ended.

Boh keepers were on hand in the opening minutes with both going close to score in the early minutes of the second period. Our visitors had a couple of near chances as they hunted that equaliser.
The BU were playing with the visitors closing them down before having a go themselves but couldn’t make much of the attempts they had.
Up steps the home side again and with minutes to go the whistle went for a free kick or an offside I couldn’t really say. Playing added time now and the BU faithful don’t like the defending trying to protect a one-goal lead.
Devon Jacobs done well to block a couple of attempts on the Murphy goal which would have the visitors back on level terms and as the ball made its way upfield the whistle went and ended.
