BO’NESS head to Rosewell next week to play Whitehill Welfare in a friendly. Before you think that is where the alien landed it definitely is not that was Newtown.
Max Christie will still have absentees due to holidays but they will all be back in time for the new campaign starting at the end of the month when we head to Broxburn followed by a midweek shot over in Cardenden against Dundonald Bluebell.
United will be looking to get back home as soon as possible. But all things will change as they will need to pay top dollar to play as it now belongs to the Newtown Park Association who will be running the site. We don’t know as yet what each match will cost the BU as the NPA are business minded and the surroundings to fix over time. It won’t be a magic wand job and everyone will have to pull their weight and it won’t be a free ride now and the size of the committee could be slashed at the AGM on 17th July and we find out what the limited BU has made over the last season and what Max will have in his war chest to tackle a harder league campaign than last season. .
Entry this season has gone up £1 to £7 & £4. The previous entry was £6 and that was unchanged for a few years. It would be good to see the extra £1 you pay at the gate could go to the fund to do up the surroundings or even donate it to the Kinneil Band Hall after the fire. I can’t see the members not being prepared to see the Club helping out after seeing Kinneil School giving £400 last week. We will just have to wait and see what happens. I am not a Club member this year and the price of the membership will be £10 if you are interested to ask a committee member for an application form.
Can’t come quick enough to see the finished article and the lights being on. Nothing like a match under floodlight,
