Post Match Interview
Bo'ness United V Tayport 04/06/11 – Willie Newbigging On the performance today I think, not just today but over the season the full squad been superb and I have no complaints about any of them. This is a fantastic day. On the run in Everybody wrote us off a couple of months ago, with six or seven games in hand, but we kept our heads down and just plodded away, a game at a time . It's not been easy. I always said it was not impossible. I said it would be hard and it was hard, but hard work, good commitment, great character from the players and they deserve all the credit. On Nicky Walker Nicky started the season on fire and he had a wee bad spell there, which everybody does, but he has come back in the last two or three weeks, back to his old self, working hard and today he scored two great goals at good times for us. On back to back Super League Championships It is extremely pleasing and I am a proud manager at the moment, but it is not just down to me as there is the players, the back room staff, the committee and the supporters who are unbelievable, so they are. On the Fife and Lothians Final It is a good one to finish off the season. Obviously today was the priority for us. We've done that, we've won the League today so we are really looking forward to Thursday now. There is no love lost between the teams, there is great rivalry. Bring it on. On the chance of beating Linlithgow Linlithgow quite rightly won the 4-0 game here a couple of weeks ago and it was a bad one to take but we bounced back the right way. Hopefully we can bounce back there on Thursday night. |

Post Match Interview Bo'ness United V Tayport 04/06/11 – Roger Duffin On today I can't believe it. Just a couple of weeks ago we thought it was out of our hands but it has swung roundabout. The last few weeks, especially the last four of five playing Mondays Wednesdays and Saturdays has taken its toll, but the lads have really dug in, worked hard and it's just as well we had such a big squad as we've needed it. Everybody has played their part really. Obviously we were going to get a hard game today against Tayport who were fighting for their lives but I felt at half time we had that wee cushion. It's a great way of doing it and you are not wanting to finish on a nervy last five minutes. On the difference from last season It's totally the reverse from last season in that you are a victim of your own success because if you have a good cup run your league takes a back seat. Whereas last season we didn't do that well in cup games and we were sitting pretty at the top of the league, this season we were the opposite way, coming from behind. The only advantage we had was we knew what kind of target we had to reach. The last few weeks we have been grinding out results and that is what has made the difference really. We have done it in the end and with one more big game to go that would be a great way to finish. It takes a step from last season where league wise we did really well but cup wise we didn't. This season we have taken the step forward and doing not too bad in cups so if we can get another bit of silverware it would be ideal, it would great
