EAST REGION SUPER LEAGUE

BO'NESS UNITED 3 BROXBURN ATHLETIC 0

High winds made heavy weather as both teams couldn't control the ball and with the visitors playing with the wind in the first half failed to produce anything in front of Mark Peat.
United went in front after 20 mins when Paul Murphy won a header in his own half and sent Nicky Walker clear who lobbed the advancing keeper who could only get his finger tips to it.
BU made the points safe with a fine goal at the near post with just 3 minutes left when Murphy scored. Then when the crowd was leaving Chris Donnelly scored the 3rd
in injury time with another fine lob.
It was a crazy day as the wind wasted what should have been a good match but all the BU will be thinking is it's 3pts and that is all that matters.
Full report to follow.

Bus/Cars Parking Notice

It is requested that all coaches and supporter transportation park at the rear of Selkirk Rugby Club's ground. This can be accessed (when travelling from Selkirk Market Square) by taking the second left turn after the Ettrick Bridge and then turning immediately left again.  This will avoid the very narrow Ettrickhaugh Road and hopefully make your arrival quicker and more convenient.  The car park is well sign posted as you approach the ground.

GARY WILCOX CONFIRMED

Allan, "I've known Gary for over 30 years, we were team mates with three different teams and I have watched with interest how he has done in his coaching and managerial roles.
So when I was looking for someone to work with me and Gary was available, it was a relatively easy decision, a previous team mate, a very knowledgeable and experienced coach who knows the junior game. Someone who can watch my back and of course a previous Bo'ness United player. What more could I want?"

BONNYRIGG ROSE 0 BO'NESS UNITED 2

Bo’ness United gained three vital points with a fine victory at New Dundas Park.

The visitors were almost ahead after just 40 seconds when a powerful Chris Donnelly run, saw him pass to Ross Philp, who shot just wide and this was to be the pattern for the early stages.
