BARR SCOTTISH JUNIOR CUP
3rd ROUND

KELTY HEARTS  1  BO'NESS UNITED 2

United marched into the fourth round with a fine win at Central Park.

Bo’ness almost were ahead on ten minutes when Ross Philp played it into Scott Pittman and his effort from twenty yards was deflected just wide.  From the resultant corner Stuart Hunter rose and his header went narrowly past the post.

On the quarter hour mark the visitors should have gone ahead when Mark Cowan got to the by-line and his cross was missed by Roger Duffin, with the ball coming to Gribben, who from close range stabbed it wide

CRAIG SCOTT MOVES TO BROXBURN

Craig Scott has moved to Broxburn in move which sees him wanting to play more and with the competition for places in the midfield at Newtown he feels it was in his best interest to switch. The website has spoke to him and he said you could never rule anything out in football and may return to Bo'ness at some point in my career. I have enjoyed my time here and wish the club all the best for the rest of the season and especially both Scottish Cups.
Everyone at the club would like to wish Craig all the best for the future with his new club and thank him for his service to Bo'ness United.

3RD TIME NOT SO LUCKY

NEWTONGRANGE STAR 2 BO'NESS UNITED 1

Bo’ness United suffered a disappointing defeat, however they will feel aggrieved to have not taken a point from this encounter.

The visitors found themselves behind after just three minutes when Sean Jamieson was brought down by Colin Leiper to concede a penalty.  Jamieson himself took the kick and gave Mark Peat no chance.
