McBOOKIE
EAST REGION SUPER LEAGUE

Newtongrange Star 0 Bo'ness United 1

Ten man Bo’ness United went clear at the top of the East Region Super League after a determined performance at Newtongrange Star. Bo’ness played the whole of the second half a man down after Darren Gribben was red carded just before the break. Despite the disadvantage Bo’ness scored early in the second half, dealt with everything that Newtongrange threw at them and held on for a significant result

EAST REGION SUPER LEAGUE

Bo'ness United 3 Tayport 0

Bo’ness United went back to the top of the Super League table courtesy of beating Tayport while Newtongrange were going down at Linlithgow.

A strong west wind again did its best to spoil the game which did get the better of the players at times during the game

EAST REGION SUPER LEAGUE

Lochee United 4 Bo'ness United 2

Bo’ness United were knocked off the top of the Super League after going down at Lochee United.

Stuart Hunter returned after serving his one match suspension but only a minute into the game had to receive treatment for a head knock. Hunter recovered and Bo’ness made the early running. Robert Sloan headed a Steven Hislop cross wide of the goal and the same player was unlucky to see another shot just missing the target

SCOTTISH JUNIOR CUP
6th Round

IRVINE MEADOW  1  BO'NESS UNITED  0

United's run in the Junior Cup came to an end as they went down by one goal to nil. They never seem to get their game going in the first half. Meadow scored midway through the half and even at that the BU could have bounced back as neither could take a hold of the game.

SCOTTISH JUNIOR CUP
5th Round

Rutherglen Glencairn 1 Bo'ness United 2

Bo’ness United progressed into the last eight of the Scottish Junior Cup although a controversial red card for Stuart Hunter took some of the shine off the victory.

The first half saw Bo’ness largely in control of the game and it took a good interception from Andy Neil early on to prevent Steven Hislop being through on the Rutherglen goal.
