It is with regret we have learn of the passing of Jock and our condolences from the management, players, committee and fans at this sad time.
Jock was a former BU Chairman and although hailing from his Tranent days served as Chairman and all he could do for the BU committee and was still doing what he could until recently taking ill. His wife Irene followed in his footsteps along with son Iain and daughter Heather who work on the hospitality side and Iain on the committee.

William Hill Scottish Cup 4th Round

BO'NESS UNITED 0 ARBROATH 5

The fairytale journey in the William Hill Scottish Cup ended today going down by 5 goals to nil.
Arbroath went in at the break one up in front of 1679 crowd. Although trailing the BU were by far the superior side and you would wonder who was the senior team.
Started bright in second half but the lights went quickly out in a calamity 8 minutes when they conceded 4 all two minutes at the back of each other.
But they continued to play not letting the score bother them right up until the final whistle. The support held on until the end to cheer their disappointed team from the field but at the end of the day the score line flattered the visitors.
Congratulations to Arbroath on going through and we wish them all the best in the next round.

BARR SCOTTISH JUNIOR CUP
3rd ROUND

KELTY HEARTS  1  BO'NESS UNITED 2

United marched into the fourth round with a fine win at Central Park.

Bo’ness almost were ahead on ten minutes when Ross Philp played it into Scott Pittman and his effort from twenty yards was deflected just wide.  From the resultant corner Stuart Hunter rose and his header went narrowly past the post.

On the quarter hour mark the visitors should have gone ahead when Mark Cowan got to the by-line and his cross was missed by Roger Duffin, with the ball coming to Gribben, who from close range stabbed it wide
