Jordan Burns Says Farewell

Jordan Burns made his last appearance for the BU last night before he heads back to University in USA.
We caught up with him on an emotional night:
"Playing in my last game for Bo'ness United tonight!  I would just like to thank everyone and the club for a great experience and giving me the opportunity  to play with my boyhood team it has been an absolute pleasure.  Something I will always remember and hopefully one day I can sign permanently for the BU's.
Good luck to the squad for the forthcoming season and defending our Super League title."

Bo'ness United 3 Lothian Thistle 2

Bo'ness United got a win under their belts in a hard fought friendly match played in sweltering conditions.

After a slow start to proceedings new signing Willie McLaren tested the away keeper with a stinging effort on 18 minutes, before the visitors got behind the Bo'ness defence and Scott Gormley was narrowly beaten to the ball by home keeper Connor Wallace, who unfortunately had to leave the field shortly after due to an injury sustained in the collision

Bo'ness United 1 Clydebank 2

Bo'ness United started off with a defeat  in their opening friendly, in what was a good work out for the side.

With three of the new summer signings playing, the home side started off well when Kieran Anderson won a corner after just thirty seconds.  Anderson swung the corner in and the clearance came out to the edge of the area where Ross Philp struck a fantastic right footed effort into the roof of the net to give Bo'ness a lead after just fifty two seconds.

Man With The Note Book Retires

After 10 years off reporting John Spowart has decided it is time to retire and hand the reigns over to someone new.
John has called time to have a more relaxing time at games but he will still be around.
During his time he has also guided us into the reporting management with his updates, stats and pictures.
We hope John and Carol have a nice build up to the new season and the wedding of their son Iain to Sam in a few weeks.
Thanks for your work and swift reports over the years and wish you a happy retirement.
Derek Crossan will be the new man at helm and we are looking forward to working with him.
