Two first half goals from Andy Scott & Paul Tweddie against the fierce wind was enough to see the BU's through against the ten man Arniston.

They couldn't breakdown the visitors in the second half even with the strong wind and man advantage but will welcome the three points.

OBITUARY

WILLIAM 'TIGER' MITCHELL

The website of Bo'ness United was in shock yesterday after reading in the Bo'ness Journal of the death of Willie 'Tiger' Mitchell. Mr Mitchell was 81 and played in the 1948 Scottish Junior Cup winning team as well as guiding the local team to the top honour again in 1976.

Mr Mitchell was capped five times for the Junior Scotland team during his Bo'ness career.

I never knew Mr Mitchell personally, but his name has often been mentioned at matches I have attended.

Our sincere thoughts at this time go to his wife, Isobel and family Andrew and Mairi, two grand-children and two great-grandchildren.
