DAVID HAGEN RETIRES

David has retired from football because of the  Achilles injury which has stopped him playing for most of the season.

David spoke to the website tonight and said "I would like to thank all the committee, management, players and especially the supporters for their continued support over the season and through my injury. I would like to thank Lee for all her support and treatment throughout this time."

"I have left the club at this stage to stop draining club funds when I am not going to be playing for the foreseeable future."

"I didn't want to leave, but I felt it was the best for myself and the club."

"Finally, I would like to wish everyone related to the club and all the best for future."

We would like to thank David for his efforts throughout his time at the club and we wish him all the best for the future.

BO'NESS UTD 2 EDINBURGH UTD 1

Two second half goals from Derek Sinclair earned Bo'ness a quarter draw in the Dem-Master Demolition Cup to bolster the season.

United who dominated the first half playing against a heavy wind and driving rain had chances but couldn't convert any of them. But the second half was anything but easy for the BU side who looked to have dropped their first half dominance.

        09.01.07                 FORMER BU FAVOURITE PASSES AWAY

BO'NESS UNITED would like to offer their condolences to the family of former BU's favourite Willie Gardiner who died on Friday aged 77.

Willie signed for Bo'ness shortly after they won the Scottish Junior Cup in 1947. Willie moved on to Glasgow Rangers from Bo'ness in 1950. Where he played alongside Willie Thornton and Billy Simpson.
