RALPH BRANDS BO'NESS

THERE were two new faces in the Bo'ness side in the form of goalkeeper Jon Connolly signed from Larkhall and forward Scott Gallagher from Fauldhouse.

The game was a classic six pointer and a single goal was enough to see Carnoustie leap frog Bo'ness leaving the BUs with a lot to do to climb away from the bottom of the East Region Super League

BREAK IN AT NEWTOWN PARK

Between the hours of 2200 hrs on Monday 9th October and 0830 hrs on Tuesday 10th October there was a break in at Newtown Park. The thieves stole two Royal Blue strips as well as the Sky Blue strip complete with pants and socks, the thieves also made off with a full set of Umbro training tops and a "running out top". The strips are unique to BUFC in as much as they have the main sponsor (Bo'ness Building Services) across the front of the Jerseys and running out tops as well as the town badge and motto.

Along with the strips there was a quantity of alcohol removed from the board room, the thieves also broke into the "canteen" and removed soft drinks, and confectionary, the canteen had been restocked in preparation for Saturday's home match with Carnoustie.

During the robbery the intruders caused substantial damage to the property, it is estimated the cost of replacing the stolen equipment and making good the repairs to the property will be in excess of  Six Thousand Pounds.

The club requests that anyone who may have seen something or has knowledge of the break in contact the Police or any member of the committee. The loss of the strips is a major blow to the club especially as they will not be of any value to another party. With this in mind BUFC ask that should anyone involved in the robbery read this note the committee would appreciate if the strips could be left where they may be found and returned to the club. If you have any details where these strips can be collected you can e-mail the website at info@bonessunited.co.uk
