BO'NESS 'FOUR'TUNES CHANGE |
 |
BO'NESS UNITED 4
LINLITHGOW ROSE 1
Bo'ness fortunes
change in front of a bumper
crowd as a transformed team
worked for 90 minutes to record
a memorable 4-1 victory and
secure their first points of the
season.
First half goals
from Mortimer and Gary Brown put
the BU 2 up at half time before
a McKay double in the second
resulted in an unbelievable win.

who can't make it today we will

LOOKING AHEAD TO LOCHEE
UNITED |
 |
ON the road again to the Dundee
area. This time to Thomson Park,
Lochee to play Lochee United.
"The Bluebells" will kick start
their league campaign against
the BU's who will be playing
their third match of the league
season.
Still to record a point and
already sitting at the wrong end
Bo'ness will try to get some
points on the board to ease the
pressure already mounting.
Lochee United have still to make
their mark on the league trail
but have already set their
standard in the league cup
having played 6 won 3 and drawn
3. They sit at the top of their
league cup section with 12pts.
Having scored 19 and conceding
7, they are finding the net.
The league cup and the league
are two different propositions
and both teams know this is the
main one and will treat it like
a cup tie, so we will have to
wait and see what Saturday
brings. |

BO'NESS PAY RESPECT TO LEGEND |
 |
There was a minutes silence
prior to yesterday's game in memory
of Jimmy Harrower who died
earlier in the week.
Jimmy was centre forward for
Bo’ness in season 1954/55 before
he moved on to play with Hibs
and Liverpool. Jimmy was part of
a successful forward line that
included Alex Scott who went on
to make his name with Rangers
and Scotland. Jimmy was a strong
bustling forward who is fondly
remembered as one of the best
players ever to don the blue
shirt of Bo’ness United. |

BO'NESS UNITED 1 CAMELON 2 |
 |
Camelon scored
their third victory of the
season against Bo’ness with a
narrow victory that leaves the
BU's struggling at this early
stage in the League.
|
|
|
Saturday 9th September 2006 |
|
|
LOOKING AHEAD TO CAMELON |
 |
WITH the injury
crisis at Newtown we will have
to wait until nearer kick off to
see who is fit enough for the
first home league match of the
season.
The BU faithful
will be out hoping their team
can over turn the defeats from
Camelon already in the League
Cup. Hoping they can take some
of the chances which went a
stray in the last match at
Newtown.
Camelon started
their league campaign off with
an away win in Fife at Hill of
Beath Hawthorn then went down by
1 goal to nil against high
flying Linlithgow Rose at
Carmuirs Park..
Willie Irvine
seems to be getting the team
into shape and will have to wait
and see how the squad line up as
they have another two league
matches after this. |

SCOTT BROWN NETS BRACE AT
DUNIPACE |
 |
DUNIPACE 0 BO'NESS UNITED 2
Winning away and
not conceding was the main thing
as Bo'ness warmed up with only
12 fit players. But two second
half goals from Scott Brown
maybe putting Bo'ness in winning
ways.
