Bo地ess
United are in the final
of the Dem Master
Demolition cup after an
exciting semi final at
Camelon Juniors. The BUs
can be proud of this
performance where back
to front, every player
did their bit with a
skilful, determined
display. Camelon were
missing some first team
regulars but this
shouldn稚 detract from
one of Bo地ess痴 best
displays of the season.
Bo地ess
had most of the play in
the first half, though
Camelon were dangerous
on the break and chances
were created at both
ends of the park.
However it was the BUs
who got the first goal
in 32 minutes when
Scott Brown finished
off a good move,
sweeping the ball past
David Hardie from close
in.
Camelon
could have equalised
right away when Martin
Mooney crossed into the
Bo地ess box but Steven
Ballantine just failed
to connect with the
ball.
In the
second half, Bo地ess
continued to enjoy the
greater possession but
Camelon were not out of
it, though when they did
get forward they came up
against a solid BU
defence. Camelon were
working hard to get back
into the tie but their
cause was not helped
when with fifteen
minutes remaining ex BU
Jamie Winning was
carried off with what
looked like a serious
injury.
The hold
up did not change the
pattern of the game and
Bo地ess continued to
push forward and their
efforts were finally
rewarded with a second
goal in 87 minutes.
Another attacking move
and Jon Mitchell played
in Scott Mauchline
who shot low into the
net from twelve yards.
The tie
looked safe and after a
brief rally by Camelon,
Bo地ess continued to
push forward and were
still on the attack when
the referee blew the
final whistle, after an
extensive period of time
added on.
Bo地ess
don稚 win very often at
Carmuirs Park but this
was a well deserved
victory for a team that
is playing with a spirit
and will to win that is
bringing the smiles back
to the faces of the BU
faithful.
