+ Match Report (By John Spowart)

Bo地ess United continued their recent good run with a resounding victory against Carnoustie Panmure in this first round East of Scotland Cup tie.

Carnoustie made a good start to the game but it was Bo地ess who took the lead in 17 minutes when Kevin Donnelly weaved a path into the box before shooting past  keeper John McCafferty.

The visitors tried to get back but they could not get past the Bo地ess rearguard who stood firm against the blustery west wind. Bo地ess were putting a lot into the game and their efforts were rewarded with a second goal in 38 minutes. Jon Mitchell dug in on the right and Derek Sinclair was quick to meet the low near post cross slotting the ball into the net.

Four minutes into the second half a Kevin Donnelly volley whistled past the Carnoustie post but in 53 minutes Bo地ess did score when Scott Brown smashed an angled volley in off the bar.

It was looking good for Bo地ess who were dominating the game and in 77 minutes they wrapped things up when Jon Tully slapped a free kick low past John McCafferty.

This was a good result for Bo地ess but more than that it was a skilful and resolute display that shows a determination to finish the season in a positive way.
