Bo地ess
United scored a
resounding victory over
Kinnoull in a victory
that keeps their hopes
of Super League survival
alive.
Kevin
Proctor
opened the account in
two minutes as he headed
home from a Kevin Mullen
cross. Kinnoull
responded getting
themselves forward and
were causing the BU
defence some problems
but it was Bo地ess who
extended their lead in
25 minutes. From a short
corner Jon Mitchell
crossed over and though
the resulting header
came off the bar
Kevin Mullen was in
the right place to force
the ball over from close
in.
In the
second half Bo地ess got
at the visitors but
Kinnoull pulled a goal
back in 50 minutes when
Craig Milne swept
in a low volley from the
edge of the box. However
Kinnoull痴 hopes of a
comeback were short
lived when only two
minutes later Jon
Mitchell scored
straight from the corner
flag, the ball flashing
into the far corner of
the net. Three minutes
after that Jon
Mitchell scored
again this time a low
volley from a Sinclair
cross beat Kinnoull
keeper Andrew Mackie.
Bo地ess
were rampant and they
made it five in 58
minutes when Derek
Sinclair chased a
long ball from Kevin
Donnelly to angle a low
shot past Andrew Mackie.
The Kinnoull keeper was
not having a happy day
and things got worse in
74 minutes when he hit a
goal kick straight to
Derek Sinclair who
gratefully accepted the
gift slipping the ball
past the forlorn keeper.
The
Bo地ess defence lost
their concentration and
Gary Sweeney痴 low ball
across the goal was
diverted into the net by
Robbie Holden.
That was in 75 minutes
but three minutes later
Kevin Donnelly
capped a fine display as
he got onto the end of a
Jon Mitchell corner to
smack a first time shot
into the net.
An impressive display by
Bo地ess brought an
impressive win and
hopefully they can now
turn the season round
with an impressive run
in to ensure Super
League football at
Newtown Park.
