Bo地ess
United returned from
Perth with the ideal
Christmas present of
three points as they
defeated Kinnoull
Juniors at Tulloch Park.
The bad news was that
Derek Sinclair was red
carded in the final part
of the game and the big
forward won稚 be
available to play
against Whitburn next
week.
Kinnoull
enjoyed the best of the
early possession but
Bo地ess settled and went
ahead in 21 minutes.
Kinnoull keeper Andy
Mackie couldn稚 hold a
Paul Mortimer free kick
and Jon Mitchell
reacted quickly to put
the ball in the net.
In 32
minutes Bo地ess
stretched their lead as
Kevin Proctor
headed home at the near
post getting onto the
end of a Kevin Donnelly
cross. Bo地ess were well
on top.
Just
into the second half Jon
Mitchell was adjudged to
have handled the ball in
the box and Kinnoull
substitute Craig
Johnston put away
the resulting penalty.
Bo地ess recovered and
were again dominant
though they could not
convert their good play
into goals.
With
seven minutes remaining
there was setback for
the BU's when the
referee decided Derek
Sinclair elbowed Sandy
Ross as both players
challenged for the ball
and he was red carded.
Soon after Bo地ess coach
Eric Sinclair was also
sent to the pavilion
though the points should
have been wrapped up
when Kevin Proctor shot
straight at Andy Mackie
right in front of goal.
It was a great chance
missed.
However
it did not matter as
there was no late
Kinnoull fight back and
Bo地ess finished
deserved winners.
