+ Match Report (By John Spowart)

Bo’ness United returned to their previous poor form as they were heavily defeated at home to a lively Oakley United.

James Lister scored two early goals for the visitors his first coming in 2 minutes as he benefited from a failed Stewart Kenny clearance to slam the ball home from a few yards out. In 15 minutes he doubled his sides lead when he headed home from a Lee Morrison cross.

Kevin Mullen and Stewart Kenny both put crosses into the Oakley danger area but there was no forward close enough to take advantage and the BU's were unable to make any real impression on the game. However Oakley were making an impression and scored a third goal in 30 minutes when William Baird got onto the end of Craig Morrison cross to score at the near post.

Jon Connelly made a double block to keep the score down and just before the break the BU keeper tipped a Craig Morrison shot over his bar.

Bo’ness were better in the second half but they could not break down the Oakley defence and remain second bottom of the East Region Super league.
