Bo地ess United痴 interest in the Fife and Lothian痴 cup was short lived with their second round defeat against Hill of Beath.

The task of beating the Fifers was always going to be difficult but it was made doubly so with the loss of an early goal. Martin Thomson latched onto a through ball from Craig Reynolds before slotting an angled shot past Jon Connolly.

Right away Lee Docherty just beat the Hill of Beath post with a shot but Bo地ess were unable to get back at their visitors. At the start of the second half Bo地ess made a positive start but they went further behind when Hill of Beath scored in 55 minutes. The Bo地ess defence only partially cleared a Gregg Meikle cross with the ball landing nicely for Craig Reynolds to volley a low shot into the net from just inside the box.

Bo地ess had most of the second half possession but they could not get on the score sheet and Hill of Beath were still dangerous on the break. However there were no more goals and Bo地ess will try again this Saturday to turn round their disappointing form.
