It was
another disappointing
day at Newtown Park as
Bo地ess lost out to
Bonnyrigg Rose in the
East Region Super
League. The result sees
the BUs rooted in the
drop zone and results
will have to improve
soon or relegation could
be a realistic prospect.
Bonnyrigg
went ahead in 4 minutes
after Grant Killin found
room in the box before
laying the ball back to
Dean Walker who
smashed a shot past Jon
Connelly.
Bo地ess
responded and Stewart
Kenny was unlucky as his
shot hit the inside of
the post before being
cleared away. Bonnyrigg
keeper Craig Coyle kept
Bo地ess at bay, saving
from Stewart Kenny and
Jon Mitchell and Bo地ess
were not able to take
advantage of the strong
wind at their backs.
Bo地ess
started the second half
well but were soon under
pressure as Bonnyrigg
pressed the home side
back. Bo地ess defended
well, though Bonnyrigg
missed a couple of
sitters but when Bo地ess
got up the park they
were far from convincing
as they tried to get a
goal back.
Two
minutes before the end
Bonnyrigg sealed the
points when Charlie
Brigain side footed
home from a John Elliot
cross and on the final
whistle Bo地ess lost the
services of Stewart
Kenny red carded for
kicking out at Craig
Meikle.
