Bo地ess
United narrowly lost out
to Bathgate Thistle at
Creamery Park in a
result that sees the BUs
with a lot to do to save
their Super League
status.
The first
fifteen minutes were
pretty even but Bo地ess
started to push Bathgate
back though they could
not find the killer
touch in front of goal
to put the ball in the
net. They were left to
regret the missed
chances as Bathgate took
the lead in 38 minutes.
Jon Connelly made a good
save from an Eddie
Annand shot but as Tony
Smith swung over the
corner the big keeper
dropped the ball and
Jon Tully scored
from close in. There
might have been a push
on the BU keeper but the
goal was awarded.
The
Bo地ess heads did not go
down and they pushed
forward looking for an
equaliser but again
possession could not be
converted to goals.
Scott Brown had a good
effort on goal but Alan
Neill痴 legs got on the
way the ball being
deflected past the post.
In the
second half Bo地ess
worked hard as they
tried hard to get back
into the game but
despite a lot of effort
they could not get the
vital goal and in the
end they left Creamery
Park empty handed.
It was another defeat
but the team rolled up
their sleeves with
plenty of effort on
show. Hopefully over the
next few weeks the
effort will be rewarded
and Bo地ess can get a
few more points on the
board.
