Bo地ess United won the friendly against Dunipace on a rain sodden friendly thanks to two second half goals from Scott Brown.
There was a contrast as the players warmed up with Bo地ess having only twelve fit players with Dunipace having no less than seven substitutes at their disposal.
The first half was largely a scrappy affair though both teams created chances to go in at the break with a lead. However there were no goals but in the first minute of the second half Bo地ess took the lead as Scott Brown nipped in to round the keeper before slipping the ball into the empty net.
Dunipace made full use of their substitutes but as is often the case it upset any rhythm they had developed over the game. Bo地ess were the better side in the second period and their second goal was scored in 71 minutes, Scott Brown slotting home from a Scott Mauchline through ball.
Bo地ess might have scored goals but the substitute keeper for Dunipace was in fine form and made a particularly good save to stop Brown getting his hat trick.
Bo地ess will now face Camelon next week in the League and will be hoping that they can improve on their League Cup performances against their Stirlingshire rivals. |
