Bo’ness
United won narrowly at
Montrose but victory was
the thing and the BU's
maintain their
stranglehold at the top
of the East Region
Premier League.
In
another game spoiled by
the wind Bo’ness huffed
and puffed a bit but in
the end they deserved to
win the points. After
missing a couple of
early chances the BU's
got the vital opener in
27 minutes after Scott
Mauchline shot against
the post but Ryan
McCafferty was on
hand to put away the
rebound.
The rest
of the game proved a
frustrating affair with
little in the way of
good football though
Bo’ness created enough
chances to finish off
their opponents well
before the end. However
it was far from one way
traffic and Montrose
created enough
opportunities to keep
the BU faithful on edge
right up to the final
whistle.
The BU's now only have
three League games to
play but there is still
little room for
manoeuvre with
Newtongrange and Forfar
still very much in the
frame.
