+ Match Report (By John Spowart)

The Whyte and Mackay East Region Premier League will make great reading for all Bo地ess United supporters tonight after the BU痴 narrow victory against Forfar West End.

The hard fought win sees Bo地ess go top of the League at the expense of the visitors who will feel they should have taken something from this match.  A minute into injury time Forfar substitute Darren Bonella missed a glorious chance for an equaliser as he headed wide of the Bo地ess post

Bo地ess started well going ahead in 2 minutes after Scott Mauchline headed down from a Stephen Payne swinging cross and Andy Scott blasted in at the post. This gave Bo地ess confidence but Forfar hit back in 10 minutes when Bo地ess could only clear a Stewart McConnachie cross as far as the edge of the box where Mark Pirie hammered a shot into the Bo地ess net.

It was Forfar痴 turn to look the more confident side but as the half progressed the game seemed to get bogged down though two minutes before half time Bo地ess regained their lead from the penalty spot. Ralph Henderson brought Andy Scott down in the box and Jon Tully slotted the penalty past Stewart Vanderdeyl.

Bo地ess started brightly in the second half but were unable to stretch their lead and Forfar were soon driving forward as they tried to get back into the game. The Bo地ess defending was sometimes desperate but they managed to keep the visitors at bay and might even have snuck a goal of their own as they looked good on the break.

As it was there were no more goals and now that Bo地ess have hit the top for the first time they will be doing everything to ensure they maintain that position until the end of the season
