Chris
Brown picked an
opportune time to score
his first goal for
Bo地ess with an injury
time header that gave
the BU's a narrow
victory against Dundee
East Craigie.
The
Dundee side made a great
start to this East of
Scotland Cup tie, going
two goals up inside the
first ten minutes, both
strikes coming from
Danny Low. The
speedy left sided player
caught out the Bo地ess
defence in 6 minutes,
latching on to a cross
ball to shoot past Aaron
Stalker from close in.
Two minutes later an
almost identical move
finished with the same
outcome and the BU's
were up against it.
Bo地ess
recovered from the early
setback and pulled a
goal back in 23 minutes
when a Stephen Payne
low drive from wide on
the right deceived East
Craigie keeper Ryan
Mitchell who let the
ball slip past his feet
into the net.
The
second half saw Bo地ess
press forward looking
for an equaliser and in
60 minutes it came with
some style as Stephen
Payne curled a great
free kick shot into the
top corner of the net.
East Craigie still
looked dangerous when
they got forward and it
proved to be when
Lindsay Davidson
regained the lead for
his side with sixteen
minutes remaining on the
clock. Aaron Stalker
saved at the feet of
Dale Robertson but the
ball broke to Davidson
who lashed the ball into
the net despite Will
Snowdon痴 efforts to
keep it out. Play was
held up as Robertson,
injured in the clash
with the Bo地ess
goalkeeper was carried
off and the East Craigie
player had to be taken
to hospital in an
ambulance.
Bo地ess
battled back and on 90
minutes Scott Brown
headed in on the line
after Will Snowdon
diverted a corner into
the danger area. Lindsay
Davidson got through the
BU defence but Aaron
Stalker did well to
block away the effort
and as it was four
minutes into the time
added on it was Bo地ess
who got the winner,
Chris Brown
diverting a Stephen
Payne header past Ryan
Mitchell.
Bo地ess
were far from convincing
but they kept going to
ensure a continued
interest in the top East
Region trophy. |
