+ Match Report (By John Spowart)

Bo’ness United scored four goals without reply against Montrose Roselea who played most of the game with ten men.

Scott Brown scored in 41 seconds as he accepted a pass from Andy Scott before slotting in from close in. In nine minutes it was two when Montrose keeper Ross McLeod dropped a shot from David Morrison and Scott Mauchline was in like a flash to put the ball away.

Montrose went a man down in 22 minutes when David Craig chopped Scott Brown down on the half way line though it was not until early in the second half when Bo’ness took advantage of the extra man.

It was in 52 minutes and Scott Mauchline controlled a Gary Brown cross at the edge of the box before turning to drive a low shot into the corner of the net. Seven minutes later Bo’ness sealed the points and again a Gary Brown crossed proved effective this time it was his brother Scott Brown who benefited as he got up to beat keeper McLeod to the ball nodding into the unguarded net.

A very convincing victory that keeps the BUs at the business end of the East Region Premier League.
