Bo地ess
United won through to
round three of the
Scottish at a canter as
they comprehensively
defeated North League
side Dufftown.
From the
off it was one way
traffic though it took a
full twenty minutes for
Bo地ess to score.
Dufftown keeper Alan
Jamieson made a great
save as he blocked a
David Morrison shot but
Jon Tully was on
hand to nod in the
rebound.
Bo地ess
scored number two in 28
minutes with a well
worked free kick where
Stephen Payne played in
Jon Mitchell whose low
cross was swept home by
Ryan McCafferty.
McCafferty was
immediately in action at
the other end with a
great tackle that
stopped Andrew Lehan as
he bore down on the
Bo地ess goal.
If there
was any doubt about the
outcome a third goal
after half an hour
finished the game as a
contest. Stephen Payne
weaved his way to the
Dufftown line and his
ball across the goal was
knocked in by
David
Morrison.
Two
minutes into the second
half Bo地ess made it
four when Dufftown
keeper Alan Jamieson
couldn稚 hold onto an
Andy Scott shot and
Ryan McCafferty
gratefully snapped up
the chance to shoot home
from close in.
In 62
minutes Bo地ess scored
again this time Jamieson
spilled a Stephen Payne
shot and Jon Tully
headed the rebound into
the path of Andy
Scott who shot into
the net from a couple of
yards out.
Dufftown
were hit for six in 78
minutes when a good BU
move finished with a
ball across the goal
finding Jon Mitchell
at the far post and
the net was stretched
again.
Four
minutes before the end
the scoring was
completed from a drop
ball as Jamieson dropped
a low cross from Jon
Mitchell and this time
it was David Morrison
who was alert to the
situation to convert
from close in.
An easy victory for the
BUs and the third round
draw is now eagerly
awaited with the hope of
an extended run in the
National competition
