Bo地ess
continued their
preparations for the
season ahead with a
victory against west
side Kilsyth Rangers.
Game two of a four match
pre season schedule
provided the BUs with
another difficult
encounter against a
Kilsyth side who will be
disappointed with the
final outcome.
Kilsyth
made the best possible
start going ahead in the
first minutes as
Donnelly shot past
Stalker after Mullen
chested a Scott cross
into his path. Kilsyth
looked the better side
after this early strike
and it took Bo地ess some
time to settle into the
game. Tully saw a header
go over the Kilsyth
crossbar and in 31
minutes Bo地ess produced
a good passing move but
Ogg痴 twenty yard shot
went narrowly over.
Ferguson
went close for Kilsyth
at the start of the
second half but Bo地ess
looked a lot better and
soon had the Kilsyth
defence pinned back. In
57 minutes the BUs
capitalised when Payne
sent over a free kick
cross and Ogg
headed past McKenna from
close in.
Both
sides went looking for
the winner and Stalker
made a good save to
thwart Goodwin just
after McCarroll had hit
a quickly taken free
kick onto the Bo地ess
bar. However with five
minutes left Donnelly
found Mullen with
a great pass and Bo地ess
were ahead with an
angled drive that found
the bottom corner of the
net.
Kilsyth might have got
back but Stalker made
another great save this
time getting down to
block McLaughlin who was
through on goal. |
