Bo'ness United chalked up their first win of the season, the result against Armadale more convincing than the score suggests.

The BUs created an early chance as Armadale cleared a Graeme McLaren corner but the ball reached Nicky Walker at the edge of the box and Gary Brown did well to clear the incoming shot clear of the goal line. That was in 6 minutes but two minutes later Bo'ness did get a goal. A good move finished with Ian Nimmo putting Nicky Walker through to round the keeper before angling a shot into the opposite corner of the net.

In 22 minutes, Bo'ness increased their lead when Nathan Taggart fired a ball over from wide on the left and John Stewart touched Nicky Walker's first time pass across the goal into the net from close in.  

Armadale got forward without looking dangerous whereas Bo'ness could have increased their lead before the break. The visitors did have a good chance with a free kick from the edge of the box but BU keeper Scott Christie did well to turn the ball round his post.

In the second half Armadale saw much more of the ball although Bo'ness still looked good going forward. There were close things at either end but it was in 90 minutes when Scott Mauchline scored a consolation for Armadale from the penalty spot.
