There were a few familiar faces in the starting lineup mixed in with the new signings and the trialists. The first action came in 10 minutes when new keeper Scott Christie got down to cut out a low cross ball. At the other end Chris McFadyen just missed making contact on a good cross from Graeme McLaren. As the half progressed both teams created chances but there was no scoring at the break.

Two minutes into the second half a well worked goal saw Bo’ness go into the lead. Blair Young got his head onto a Graeme McLaren cross and, although the Strollers keeper got a hand to the ball he couldn’t hold it and John Stewart put in from a couple yards out. In 50 minutes Bo’ness got another chance but Graeme McLaren hit Blair Young’s cut back over the bar. Three minutes later there was a goal, but it was the home side who scored the equaliser. A low ball whizzed into the BU goal area and Craig Dickson reacted to touch the ball past Scott Christie from close in.

Bo'ness  might have regained the lead but a couple of headers found the arms of the Strollers keeper. In saying that a minute from the end Craig Dickson thought he had got the winner for his side, but Scott Christie made a great save to tip the ball over the bar.
