Newtown Park has seen over a century of football
with Bo'ness FC and Bo'ness United FC. Bo'ness FC had crowds of 18,000 when
they played host to Rangers and Celtic after they were promoted from the
Scottish Second Division in 1926/1927. The end of season 1999/2000 Newtown
added a new enclosure. The previous one displayed below was closed because it
was unsafe. The Bo'ness United Football Club committee are always working
there hardest to help get Newtown Park looking like it did in those by gone
days. The season of 2000/2001 saw plans unveiled for a new park to be built
250 yards up the road, Sadly this idea was scrapped. For the 2005/2006 season
the floodlights were re-installed at the park so the team are able to train
at nights.
